For those of you who still look for updates on this blog

So, I haven't been posting because I haven't been in a sharing mood. But tonight I'm up late and feeling silly because of the absolute crap that I posted for an assignment for my online history class.

So I'm taking this online history class so that I can get certified to teach High School Government and what not. I was on the wait list for a while and I wasn't sure if I was going to be submitted, so I didn't order text or the DVD set (which is in place of lecture) until I got confirmed that I was in on the class. Which was like June 3rd or 4th.

The class started last week and today Tuesday the 15th are first discussion post was due. I was supposed to argue against the impeachment of President Johnson (tee hee). The only problem is that my text book has yet to arrive and all I have is the DVD set (which is less than useful in this instance). So I derive a plan to make my argument jumping off what others are saying and what I can find on the internet. Now mix internet knowledge with a sleepy Russ and this is the flaming pile of crap that you get. Enjoy...

"It is clear. It is clear to me as I feel that it should be clear to all of you that the trial for impeachment of President Andrew Johnson is not to up hold the law. The law that the President, as well as all citizens of this great nation, is bound to uphold. No, instead this trial is for the sole purpose of political gain. Political gains aimed to benefit the Republican Party and its radical agenda.

It is clear, that Congress reason for impeachment is to oust their political opponent by any means necessary and to safe guard positions of power held by Radical Republicans. Specifically to protect Secretary of War Edwin Stanton, Stanton’s term ended with the tragic death of one of our greatest leader Abraham Lincoln.

It is clear, that the Tenure of Office Act is an unconstitutional infringement on Presidential power and should not be upheld. It is clear, that Radical Republicans have hijacked the government to serve their own political ideals with little to no regard for the Constitution.

It is clear, that we can not allow are laws to be twisted and bent to meet the needs of a few men. It is clear, that we must uphold the Constitution and not pass laws that go against it.

It is clear, that we should not impeach the President. It is clear.
